I just came over to check and see if there were any Vegas trip reports, and, you sure wrote a great one.
Sounds like you had a wonderful time. I've never been to Vegas, but friends of our have been wanting us to go for a long time, and, I am sure eventually we will. So much to see and do. I have to admit though, gambling would be number one for me. But Vegas is a place for anyone. The Grand Canyon must really be awesome.

Thanks for the compliments. I really did enjoy Vegas even though I didn't gamble. I love the city and I love the spectacle of everything. I could spend a month in Vegas just taking in everything. Every morning we had to get up early to catch some kind of tour, and there were people gambling at 6am. It's crazy. I really do want to make it back in March of 09, but I'm hoping prices for airfare and hotels comes down a bit so I can afford to stay about 5 days or so. I'm...

Was surprised to see somebody give a TR on this site.....and than, what a report it was ! Full of action! I too love the Grand Canyons...went there just once with a tour bus from Vegas, and the trip was way too long to and from, while the time there was way too short. So, some day, I am hoping to make it back, stay overnight, and take my time.

I really did enjoy Vegas. I'm not much of a gambler, but just the sights and shows are worth it to me. I really hope I get to go back in March for at least 4 or 5 days or maybe even more. We were really rushed all the time because we wanted to do so much but only had so little time. Thanks for your report. Other than the airline delay, it sounds like you both had a great time. This forum does not get too many visitors, but I just happen to pop in today, saw your report, & wanted to thank you for taking the time to post. Have a good time in March & I think more than 3 days would be a lot better. My early trips were 4 or 5 days & we felt like we were always rushing everything. Have fun.----Mike
